Righto! I told Ratz to buy a Logitech Attack 3 Joystick because they really are the dog's bollix for Battlefield and make life simple!

But it's not so simple.

Situation:
• Plugged in Joystick and Windows recognises it as new hardware and ready to go.
• It can be calibrated in windows and configured with yaw and so on, with all buttons working and no issues
• Software 'profiler' disc has also been installed

Problem:
Battlefield won't recognise it. Not a single button can be configured or inputted.

Already Troubleshooted:
• Uninstalled and resinstalled
• Unistalled the profiler software and tried with and without
• Tried going through 'control panel' game controllers and 'adding new controller' but get a specific error:

"Your gameport or gameport drivers are not properly configured. Please consult the device manager"

Some sites mention something about GamePort Sound Control Drivers in the Device Manager. But I don't know what to do or how to approach this. He's using a Realtek sound card.

Any help would be most grateful as I'm at whits end trying to fix this.

Cheers

look for an updated sound driver for the realtek sound card. if it's integrated on the mobo then check the manufacturers site for the driver.
